My dog started having the samething last year and I took her to the vet and he said it was an allergic reaction. He gave her a shot and put her on a antibiotic for a few days and she was fine he said it may have been from the hay so he told us to use wheat straw and we have had no more problems.

Could be detergent, could be a million things that cause allergies. Every dog is different so it's just so hard to tell when it's not a simple food allergy. Each detergent is different too, heck, I have allergic skin reactions to cheap detergents :x .

They've come and gone, especially during allergy (hayfever) season. They just came back. Wondering yeast or ear mites or something. Any ideas? Looks like under fur doggy acne. Just little bumps and only there atop the skull. Someone fed her a cracker the other day; I avoid grains in her diet. I gave her some Benadryl. It's gone down already within 48 hours. Pinky also had to have an anal sac lancing a couple of weeks ago and was on antibiotics. Now she has a junky ear with black pink stuff that I'm treating as a yeast infection--ya know--females/yeast infections/antibiotics. (See post in ear thread if fascinated. ) I'm also acting as tho' it might be some burrowed mites. Anybody know more about mites or ear mites? Also anybody else use DE on their pets?

Last week I noticed small red bumps in my dogs ears. About 2 or 3 on the inside (where there is no hair) of each ear. They look very similar to what a chigger bite looks like on a human. I left him for a few days as I was out of town and had my folks watch him. When I returned yesterday I took a look at the bumps and they have grown. They are pertruding out a bit further and they are no longer red. They are now kind of scabbed at the top of each one. I also located one on the top of his ear where there is some hair. It is in the same condition as the others. He is on flea and tick medicine. Will this medicine stop chiggers? Has anyone ever heard of chiggers bothering dogs? Or could this be something completley different? He has not seemed to be affected by them one bit. Never scratched at them or acted as if he was in any pain or discomfort while I investigated the bumps.

i have a black and tan pup that is 13 weeks and she has developed white bumps on her head. The biggest one i saw today was about a cm x cm x cm. She also has smaller ones on her head. Is this something i should worry about or will it go away?
