on Wednesday morning. He ate a little Thursday, but none Friday or today. He took a bad turn today. Now he can't stand. I think I'm going to lose him tonight.

I just looked that up and it looks very similar. At this point though, he cannot even lift his head. He is getting cold. I had him in the garage, now he is inside. Trying to keep him warm.

Our vet said he had a pretty bad case of heatworms, warned that treating might kill him. We had in on a slow kill - gave him doxy for 40 days before switching to Ivermectin. Also giving him Prednisone 20mg steroid.

Update - he is gone. Man I hate it. I really struggled over the idea of treating him due to the risk. My younger dogs are on Sentinel.
