im not real sure how to word this to make it sound right but here goes.
my 7 year old female black n tan seems like shes shedding way more than normal since spring this year. no bald spots but just petting her normally pulls out gobs. i dont know how shes still got any fur left the way it falls off but still no bald areas. i know theres a couple diseases they can get on their insides that can cause shedding but she acts perfectly fine too other than maybe a little more panting than she used to do. i know shes getting old and not in as great of shape as she should be since we havent hunted that much this summer so this is maybe a pointless question but figured id ask anyway and see what replies i get. anybody know why all spring/summer shes been shedding like crazy more than any other year? just age and time of year or possibly a problem? thanks, jamie
