I have an eight year old direct son of Skuna River Bark that is the best male dog I have ever owned. Three weeks ago i noticed he was not eating well and three days later found he had a badly infected tooth. I carried to vet and tooth was scrapped and antibiotics were given. He developed a limp in rear right leg. After three days of meds i found his tooth still severaly abcessed and he was not eating. I carried him back to vet to have tooth extracted. While there he xrayed legs and told me that his leg showed a spot that was either a fungal bone infection or bone cancer and that he may need amputation if it is cancer. I was wondering if anyone has had similar issues after severe infections of this type or may just be a freak happening that both showed up at the same time.He is eating well now and on antibiotics. Still favoring leg some. Thanks for any info.

Have not dealt with that but if he's a great dog you want to keep and ends up losing a leg he can continue to hunt. Dogs don't know they're missing limbs and get along pretty well.
