Took my male walker in a while back to have him collected and doc said there wasn't any to collect that his count was low, which was weird 'cause he's been bred a couple times already. Took him in had him tested and a levels of everything were normal and really no answers, said it might be heat related or such. Just wondering if anyone else had heard of this and what might be out there for remodies or vitamins? Or anything that might help his count to return. Thanks for the help!

Lots of dogs that have low sperm count still produce litters. But when a dog is collected and the sperm gets frozen some of the sperm die through the process which is why a relatively high sperm count is desired.. although in your case it may be weather, diet, hydration, exercise etc that is making it low.

A fellow wanted to breed his old male but it didn't look like he was up to it. He took the dog to the vet and the vet gave him two doses of powder to mix with a little canned dog food. Another feller asked him if it worked and he said yes, it worked too good. They stayed hooked for an hour. The feller then asked what the name of it was and the first fellow said he had forgot but it tasted like licorice.

Keep the dog in the air conditioning for a few days before going to the vet or do it in the winter.

Bred a 2 yr old the next week. skipped a week and had a nother 2 yr bred her. each female was bred three times each to thise old dog. First Female had 13 healthy pups.
