has anyone else ever had a hound have pneumonia? My 10yr old male walker is in the vets now with it...just wonderin if anyone else had been through it? what should I expect if he does make it? (other than a high dr bill)

It depends how bad he's got it. There could be damage to his lungs, he could be susceptible to respiratory infections, asthma, or he could make a full recovery as if it never happened.

That's good to hear. Being in the house should not hurt his hunting ability any.

dont think it will... when I take him out for a leak he thinks he has to look for a coon as well, LOL... so his spirits are up good!. we just had a snow so when it thaws I will set a live trap to catch a coon for him to bark at and keep him knowing that he will still get to go when he builds his mussles back up...
