 Post subject: One testicle

I have a 10 week old pup that appears to only have one testicle that descended how big of a problem is this I have not seen this condition before any input would be appreciated thanks

If the testicles have not dropped by 6 or at latest 12 months, they will most likely not drop.

If the testicle doesn't drop, have the dog neutered as no reason to carry the Cryptorchidism gene through breeding.

You can hunt and show with a neutered dog in UKC.

I wouldn't panic just yet. It's still pretty young at 10 weeks and has time for the other one to drop.

As gross as it sounds you can massage the one a couple times a day and put a hot(not to hot) compress that's been soaked in Tea. I use lipton. Good luck! Been breeding dachshunds for 15 years this sometimes helps.
