Had a gyp have a litter of pups yesterday. When they were born she would clean them up and then hide them. Soon as they would make a sound she would run over and eat it. Done the first 3of that way then i got a muzzle on her. She had a total of 15 and 10 are still alive and shes taking to them now.

My guess is They either weren't healthy or she was culling them herself because there were so many and she knew she couldn't care for them all and give them all the best life
