I have clavamox (amoxicillin trihydrate/clavulanate potassium 125mg tablets. Is this sufficent and how much and on what schedule any ideas.

Just went through this one. All I did was use hydrogen peroxide once a day for three days. Make sure to squeeze the puss out and hhe healed just fine but it did leave a scar.

If I recall, I always used Clavamox twice a day, but I don't remember what dose my dog was on.

Clavamox is good, but Anti-Robe or regular Penicillin will do the trick.
Clavamox goes by weight. So you have to weigh him/her and get an accurate dosage.
When My dogs get cut or biten, etc. I use Twin-Penn or Dura-Pen. 3cc is the max you can give a dog.
So if you dog weighs over 30lbs give 3 cc's. Just grab the fat on the back of his neck like you would give a Vaccine and give it their.
