I only seem to post when I have a problem...I know it is not fair to you guys.

So we just got a RedBone pup into our rescue with "craniomandibular oseopathy"
Yeah...that was our reaction as well...HUH???? ( English please HA HA)

The generic name for it is Lions Jaw. It is basically and overgrowth of bone, most commonly on the jaw and skull.
It is supposedly RARE in large breed dogs and mostly effects Terriers...but yet when we started looking into it on the internet, we came across many posts about Coonhounds having this disease.

Anyone ever heard of it...or had a dog with this problem?
How did the dog "fair"?

I couldn't find a single post linking this condition to coonhounds other than yours. Would you post some links to those discussions?
