does anyone know how long it takes for a rabie vaccine to be fully effective after given to a dog ?

It should be fine after 24 hrs is what my vet told me

thanks. My dog had her shots 24 days ago and today a skunk was out in the middle of the day eatin her food while she was 2 feet away barking every breath.I shot the skunk and animal control came and got it.I should know the results by 3 days.She said the skunk may of had distemper.I caint believe my dog didnt kill that skunk,she dont mess with them while huntin but with it that close and eatin her food. ????????

Distemper is a different shot altogether from rabies its called DHLPP,CV or a 7 in 1 So if shes only had rabies then she isnt covered from distemper

Yes, I know the difference between distemper and rabies. She has had all her other shots its the rabies time frame I was concerned about
