healthy female only 4 yr old with plenty of milk and a dry pen with plenty bedding has 8 pups on her and 2 days ago two of them got weak,started coughing and died.The vet recomends no shots until 6 weeks old.Any one ever had this to happen before? Any ideas would be greatly apreciated. Thanks ( Pups are almost 5 weeks old)

on the ground theres all kinds of stuff tht kills pups... if there are any still living and not sick yet id recomened taking them out of the pen ...spraying the ground inthe pen down with bleach and water... like in a windex bottle or something.. it kills all the germs and w.e is causing them to get sick... good luck man.

My guess would be worms~ Have you wormed the pups? Did the rest of them make it?

they were wormed regually.no more died.I guess i'll never know. thanks for asking.
