I have a female that is 3yrs old an never been bred to. Well she went in heat this past January(DID NOT BREED) She is back in heat!!! I've never heard of this or my fellow houndmen just talked to has not either. My female bulldog just went through her cycle. Is it possible this soon she could have pulled my hound back into heat? OPINIONS WOULD REALLY BE APPRECIATED FELLOWS AND LADIES.

Yes, female dogs can be like human women friends who will menstrual (PMS) at the same time.

All my females normally cycle at the same except one......Some came in heat early to get on the same cycle.

If your wanting a dog to come in heat, one the the things to do is to put her with one that is in heat as alot of times it will bring her in.

Also, no where is heat every 6 months standard -- I have seen them go 6 months, 5 months, 8 months, and etc....LOL, most time, mother nature is unfair to you when it happens.......Like last month the female I was gonna hunt in the World Basset Hunt came in heat 1 week before the hunt and was a month early from her normal heats.

hanks Buckshot,

I have heard of that, just would never have thought a house dog would bring a female that lives outside in this soon.

Love this website by way. I favor this one more then UKC truthfully.
Keep it up :D

think that would work for a dog that came in once and now 4year old and never been in heat again?

i have a female walker that will come in about every 6 months, and anytime any other female comes in she will have a false heat, she swells for about 2 wks, but not really enough to breed, just enough that im afraid to take her out....
