Our coonhound Radar is sick!!! We went hunting last night and and he was doing awesome! We were hunting w/a GRNITECH bluetick and radar was kickin the dogs but in the woods until he came back w/his paw gushing blood. When our friend picked up his paw to look at it, it starting spurting blood. We took him home and washed his paw out and put antibiotics on it and rapped it back up. Well, this morning my husband took the bandage off of his paw and it looked pretty good, so he decided to leave the bandage off and let it get some air. I got home and noticed Radar wasn't in his dog house, which isn't like him. I went out side to check on him and saw his paw was the size of my hand. My husband too him to the vet and she said that if we had waited 6 more hrs. he would have been dead. She gave us pain pills and an antibiotic to give him. She said he will be ok but I was wondering if there was anything else we could do for him. Any ideas?
