Threwout my life i have always heard the doctrin of once saved always saved, or eternal security. Although this would be a great thing to believe, that anyone could do whatever he/she wanted, and still go to heaven because they have been saved. What i have found in the bible, is totaly opposite from what i heard threwout my life. Lets go to the word of God for the answer. Note, im not putting my opinian in any of these verses, i believe the word of God can speak for itself.
Matt 10: 22- And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
Matt 24:13- But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Mark 7:20-23- And he said, that which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications. murders, Thefts, covetousnes, wickedness, decit, lasciviousness, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.
Luke 9:62- And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
Luke 13:24- Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, i say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.
Rom 6:1-2 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
Rom 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
Rom 6:12-16 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, thatye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. What then? shall we sin,because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whetherof sin unto death or of obedience unto righteousness?

1John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
1John 5:18-19 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not. And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
2John 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
Rev 2:5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else i will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
Rev 21:7-8 He that OVERCOMETH shall inherit all things; and i will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers,and sorcerers, and idolaters, and ALL liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Rev 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
There are many other passages and parables in the bible on this subject, but these are the basic scriptures that show the truth. My prayer is that when you read this, you will take note on what the scriptures say.
