I have coon hunted ever since I was 10 years old. I am 69 now.
The older I get the better/stronger light I need. Where and I my son hunt is rough, full of water and mud. There are a lot of brush, stump holes and broken down trees so we need one the best lights available. Fortunately we were blessed to be able to get such lights.
That is the way it is with our everyday life. There are a lot of things that will get us in all kinds of trouble. The devil is always trying to get our mind off of God with things of the world. He is trying to make us fall by putting snares and obstacles in our life's path.
The absolute best light for us to see our way through life is Jesus Christ.
1 John 1 and 5 tells us that "God is light, and in him is no darkness at all."
In Psalm 119 verse 105 the bible says: Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.
And in St. John 8 and verse 12: Then spake Jesus again unto them saying I am the light of the world he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness but shall have the light of life.
So if we give our heart and soul to Jesus and follow His word we can see the the right path and we won't fall into the darkness of this world.
