Looking at the probability of moving to jane lew in the immediate future. I am mostly interested in the hunting prospects around there but any info would be appreciated. I believe its about 30 minutes south of clarksburg. I do have family with land around summersville but I think thats a ways away.

Thanks. I am actually kinda excited about moving, if/when it happens. I'd say its about a 80% chance right now. I'd say its definately a drastic upgrade in the dog hunting department.

I live about 15 minutes from jane lew and the coon huntin is great as far as bear huntin goes elkins is about an hour from there and the mountains in randolph countyis good and summersville is great for bear too. But coon huntin in janelew is pretty good.

I live in craigsville thats about 20 mins from summersville. We bearhunt. Usually go 3 to 4 times a week and tree alot of bear. Ive never hunted near jane lew except for deer hunting.....

This post was a couple years old. The transfer didn't work out. I'd love to get back there for a hunt someday. Maybe next year.
