I like a good dog best! Plott's? I feed five. Blueticks? Three of them eat here as well. English? Yep he shows me coon as well. If I had a chance at a good cur I would probably find an extra chain for it as well. My buddy had to brand his black and Tans out of fear I would steal them LOL. Never been color blind hope I never will be. But if my life depended on picking just one breed it would probably be a good ole Oklahoma bred Bluetick.

coonhunter3 apparently you just never had a walker that you trained right and by the looks of it you dont know what a good walker is when you go making a thread about the size of your dog and I have a 8 month female bigger than that! But think what you want, the poll tells it all!

I really hope that you young fellers will grow out of this "breed loyalty" crap.With the breeding programs people have today,it's impossible to say that one breed does anything any different than another.Breeders are basically "programming" the exact traits they want into pups.If a dog has "hunt" in it, I doubt he really cares what color he is.Yall just fight it on out, and me & my trashy, weak-mouthed slick treeing(did I miss any cliches?)walker and slow, loose mouthed back tracking black & tan will keep on huntin.

its what ive always hunted and what i like and what i like is a go getin, get er dun, fast, SMART, hard hunting type of dog and it just so happens that (around here probably everywhere else) thats what it is a walker and i intend to keep huntin em till i cant hunt no more

so what your telling me is that walkers are the only smart breed out there huh how old are you cause there are good one in every breed mabe what you need to do is to go hunting with someone with a smart plott or english and then after its all said and done you wont talk like walkers are the only smart and go getten get er dun hard hunting type of dog so i will have mmy boots ready and my light charged in case you wanna see some go getten get er dun smart dog have a nice day
