me and my grandpa had this discussion.....he said that a coon has alot of fat, even in the meat, so the best thing to do is boil it first to get all the fat out, then you can bake it, grill it, ect. i dont think you would boil it before you fried though. he said it tasted pretty good.

Cook coon in oven on a rack so the greese will drop down.
take meat off bone & serve.
Can,t till it from pork.
If u leave it on the bone it looks a little funny & some people won,t eat it, just the way it looks.
BBQ it----no body will know it is coon.
My dad used to have big coon supper & this is the way my mom cooked it.

I've had it in a stew with taters & carrots, and my grandmother used to boil it and pull the meat and fry it up like salmon patties.If the water around them is clean, there's nothing wrong with it at all.

i take coon and make it like a roast onions peppers carrots and garlic and the funny thing is it taste like baby back ribs

ive cooked it every way i can think of even cooked it with some jackdaniels i love eatin coon i got a couple fellas at work eatin it to everytime i bring some they want some
daddy told me a long time ago if yer gonna hunt a animal and kill it you dam well better eat it dont waste it if even got me a coon toothpick dad wasnt a coonhunter but he loved eatin coon

i havent ate a coon beofre but i slow boil them for the dogs. man after boilin em the water looks like regular cookin oil.

i have never tried it, but if some one cooked it that knew what they were doing i woulnt hesatate to try it. someone said here it taste like bbq ribs and there is no way i can pass up somthing that tatse like that..lol.
