this is just something i was setting around and thinking about...since i only have walkers i don't have to worry bout it, just something for a discussion....

if u have like a UKC registered walker...and u breed it to a UKC bluetick or any other coonhound, both parents are registered...what can ya do with the pups? can they be UKC registered?

or maybe a UKC walker crossed with a none registered full blooded walker, can those pups be registered?

i just was thinking and decided it would be a good discussion..lol

you can reg in the UKC. HALF BRED JESSI is a walker/bluetick cross and she is a GRNITE in the UKC. her daddy is bluetick and her mom is walker. when you get your easy entry card,it doesnt say 'PR' breed on it.

You can get a hound single reg. If parents are unregistered but the pups have good breed characteristics, you can have the master of hounds come and hunt with your dog and if it trees a coon, the dog is entitled to be reg. under whatever breed the dog resembles. Or I'm pretty sure that's the method that can be done. Correct if I'm wrong.

Yes in order to be single registered in UKC the dog must meet breed standards. The dog will be inspected by a inspector for both breed standards and trailing and treeing in the woods.

Each Breed club has their own requirements.

Take for example the B&T Breed club. After the Hard Rock incident, they changed their single registration requirements.

What happened at the Hard Rock incident. Or is it too long of a story?
