Has anyone ever had their dogs put up an armadillo? The other night my dog ran one into a hole and had us really wondering what the hell it was until we dug it out! After we leashed her up and walked a ways, I let her loose and off she went and barked treed. I initially thought she went back to where we was before, but as I got close I could tell she was treed in a different spot. As we popped over a pond levee close to where the dogs were, whatever they had treed, or bayed, took off down towards the pond and I'll be damned if they didn't have another one in a hole!
I sure was surprised to see armadillo's this far north, especially here in the spring. I surmise that these armadillo's may have overwintered here, giving our dogs something else to trash on, giving the possum's a run for the money!

YEAH, my dogs ran an armadillo into a brush pile once. Lucky for them I did not have a shock collar. They don't seem to live in the woods around here just by the side of the road. See lots of em side of the road dead.

My dogs put one into a hole a while back. They wouldn't leave it til it was dead. I shot it 3 times and it still wasn't dead. The dogs finished it off.

Every time we tried to pull the dogs off the armidillo would come out after them so we just let'em go at it.
