Well,if you are a die hard coonhunter u will continue to hunt like you always do. We just have to live with it. the days of low gas prices are over. I am glad i kepted my Isuzu Hombre, I know it aint fourwheel drive but it gets me to where i hunt. I get 27 to 30 miles to the gallon. well good hunting.

It would be nice, If they would relax some of the epa regs. We could produce more. There is alot of Oil in this country just cant get to it cuz most in alaskan wildernest. The enviromentalist and animal wackos dont want us to drill up there.

when they built the alaskan pipeline across to the usa they said we would not have a oil problem and they were right i if they would use it . we dont get a drop of oil from alaska and havent for years . its loaded on tankers and sold to USSR and Japan. in Great Brittan and Germany gas is around $8.00/gal im going to switch my truck to LP gas $1.69/gal from CO-OP

Just riding through the Government woods to enjoy nature is costly now. Hubbie said no more joy rides because we have to pinch pennies just to have gas to go to and from work. My honda accord was almost $40.00 to fill up from empty the other day and that lasts only alittle over a week. And I bought that to save gas.
Hubbie was thinking of selling his Ford for a smaller truck but we have 3 1/2 grown boys that dont drive yet so we cant afford to loose the seating room. This gas thing really stinks! But most of us will improvise and suck it up, pay the price and go hunting! Plus I couldnt see hunting in nothing but a FORD! :D

:x I think these prices are going to hurt our nite hunts, therefore less money into the sport. I was hoping with PKC and all the money getting into the hunts that we would be on spike or espn, so on the week end I could watch a competition hunt instead of fishing/duck hunting. not that there is anything wrong with fishing or bird hunting, but would love to see current stats and hunts on national TV. and the only way thats happening is MONEY.

Do any of you have the new E85 fuel near home? Its getting more popular here but its close to the same price ($2.79/gal) and you need to have a newer GM vehicle that has flexfuel capability. Just wondering. Its a great idea if they can get the price down.

I read that high ethanol fuel (E85) can be detrimental to your parts that are designed for unleaded gas. Stainless steel parts are used in dual fuel autos. Seals designed for gas will be eaten up by ethanol.
