well took the dogs out again last night...in case there is anyone who don't know i ain't had this pair of dogs long and its my first pair of UKC registered dogs...well first pair of registered dogs period lol...

anyway, the female basically don't know what to do, she's still learning...the male just needs hunted and experience to learn coon habits more...

last night about 11:30pm he barked on a cold trail...few minutes later, another bark...then another and so on...then the barking picked up...then all of a sudden a long howl and away he goes...after a couple hours we thought we lost him and searched everywhere trying to find him...then we heard him again, still running...he was back where he first found the coon...at about 4 or 4:30am this mornin'...he FINALLY tree'd the coon...he tracked and ran that coon all night long before it tree'd but he got it...this is the first tree i have had with this dog...

i was soo happy...eventhough i am cut to shreds with briars...he tree'd WAY up on a mountain of almost a solid briar patch to get to him...i'm in pain today from being on my hands and knee's climbing the steep mountain and briars, but proud as can be of my dog...when i got to the tree the female then was all over the tree too...

may not be the best dog "yet"...but if he ever smells it, it ain't got a chance, he's gotta have a nose like a bloodhound to track a coon that long...

well, i'll stop talking now...just excited and wanted to tell everyone lol..

Kevin
