Lost a close friend today in a car wreck comin home from school. He was the last person to get in my truck this morning and i dropped his brother off when I was comin home today.My 2 friends Chad and Mardis were with him but were not killed. Herman was 17 and was a junior at Monroe Central High School. Please keep his family in your prayers.

I am very very sorry. I know exactly how you feel. I am 17 years old and a sophmore in high school. in the past three years I have lost 3 classmates. lost 2 in a 4-whiller accident in 2003 and then just this school year i lost another freind . once again I am very sorry for your loss

When I had heard Herman passed away all I could think about was if my cousin was alive. I had heard 2 of them were ejected, I came home crying and hit the play button on the answering machine. It was my cousin crying saying my name and telling me to pick up the phone. He said that my other friend Cole was with them and he was hurt, So please keep all of these kids and there family in your prayers.

Sorry to hear that. I lost a friend back a few mnths ago, we were at a party and I hadn't seen him in a while and I saw him that Saturday night and i talked to him for a long time then he started to leave and i told him i would talk to him later and then the next day after church I got a call saying he had been killed on a motorcycle. If i only knew that that night was the last night I would see him I wouldn't have let him leave. I guess that just goes to show that when the good lord calls your number you got to go. So sorry for your loss.

Russ11, so very very sorry to hear about your friend. We will keep their family and friend in our prayers. I know as a teen it is so hard to lose someone you are close to. My daughter lost someone the same way her Freshman year. I cringe whenever my kids go out in their car and make them call when they get where they are going. Please stay strong and take advantage of any counseling that they offer through your school or community. It really does help. You may not think it will right now, but it will be of benefit later.

I talked to Hermans brother tonight. I gave him a hug and said he's dead russell. My last words were Justin God has a plan,If he didnt then the other 3 would of gone right along with him. I pray to God that this gives a reality check to our school. Your life can be gone in a second.

From experience, most teens believe that they are ten feet tall and bullet proof. Sometimes it takes a tragedy to wake them up. Extremely sad, but as you said, if some good comes of this then it makes the pill a little easier to swallow.
