Season is over here in Missouri at least just thought it might be fun to see how everyone did. We had a nice season here couldn't have asked for better weather I was able to hunt all the way till the last night. Only a few Icy/moon lit nights kept us home.my 2 1/2 year old walker looked nice most nights and my female turned 12 months at the end of the season and is treeing on her own and well on her way.

Any one hunt this season? lol Il tell some more about my season I guess. we killed 138 coon with my 2 1/2 year old male and I started a female with him she was 9 months old and green as grass on season opener and the last night of the season we killed 6 he treed 2 then they split twice. once 25 yards apart then again he treed at 601 yards and she went to him then took another coon 183 yards from him and held while I shot his out. I couldn't be happier with their progress. The year old female is out of "rock bottom sweat it" and seems to be very smart and independent.

Here where I hunt in Illinois and Iowa, the weather was amazing! We usually are well below zero in January and February, but this season it was only really cold a few days.
My plan this season was to really hunt an almost 2 yr old redbone male of mine that was really cranking, but he got coonhound paralysis just before thankgiving and he was in rough shape for 2 months.
So, I hunted an older walker I have and a young redbone female pretty hard. We treed quite a few coon, and I had the privilege of introducing several people to the world of coonhunting for the first time.
The highlight of the year was when I took my 15 month old son hunting for the first time! He loved it!

Awesome on taking your son out! I don't have any kids yet to take but took my bosses 10 year old and my good buddies 4 year old out. Always fun with kids along
