I'm looking at a puppy and they lady is telling me I can get a single registration? Said dad has papers but mom had puppy papers but she lost them? Can't the pups still be registered? I've never dept with this so I have no clue!!!!

you can send the puppy papers into ukc and get the pup regs.

She only has the papers for the dad, the moms papers the previous owners lost it all before this lady got her so she doesn't have anything on her just the dad.

the way I understand it(and I just single registered one 2 months ago) is that now if you single register any hound, it will be registered as an x-bred. I would try hard to get a copy of the pups mothers pup papers(and pay to have her permanently registered) from whoever owned her mother so your hound has an accurate pedigree and isnt listed as xbred

I've never done it but been told that you can still register them. But you can't register any litters. If she's not willing to I would maybe get all the forms for her to get the other dogs papers replaced so all she needs to do is sign them and send them in. She should be able to get copies if all they were was lost. Might be a good sign as to if the female was really ever registered.

If you want a registered pup then I would pass on this pup and find a registered pup and buy it.
