Needs some info left my four year old dog out about three weeks ago for night now he will not hunt at all acts like he is scared to leave my side

Left him out where? In the woods? Could be he got attacked by yotes or something. Probably just that he's afraid you'll leave him again. My last few dogs have also been my wifes pets and they hate "losing" me. Takes a good while to get them to run off an hunt for me. I let the drive to hunt do it rather than trying to lose them in the woods.

In the woods garmin would not pick him up found him the next morning hilly country

I've come close before but never actually lost one in the woods for more than a few hours. I'd say he's probably just scared he lost you for good. How old is the dog? Just keep taking him out there and petting him up after he gets back from hunting. He'll get over it.
