tonight took minn, trix, and jam out for couple freecasts. moon was neat and critters were stirring. saw a skunk, another set of eyes not sure, and few deer all while driving and i only put ten miles on.
first dump minn hunted tree line close up and down then was coming back to head behind me when trix struck 600yd out in the good woods and creek. short striking and half ##*%* located with jam locating to. trix double checked and started tracking away with jam following and it got to really cranking. minn got to them and uncorked to. jam was tight mouthed only opening here and there. kept track on garmin and track was almost 2 miles when they slammed treed. unreal with all the twists and turns track is that long when probly only half mile straight line. did good job and had coon in huge cottonwood. jam didnt say much at that tree. im sure track started off a mulberry tree coon had monkied around earlier and they made track good.
second dump was my kinda coon hunting! dogs out few hundred yards and in unison struck, located, and slammed treed within 3 seconds of first bark. LOL. i was even so lazy was able to drive within 93 yards! gotta love them lazy runs!!!
first dump this is how moon looked, had few clouds.
after lots of burn time got eyes on far side of tree. coon was actually where i walked in.
once had him narrowed down in huge tree got good look way high.
old girls cranking, trix tracked like a black dog should lining this one out.
cleared up some on second drop, musta been good luck cause was easiest run in the world.
litter of kits.
jam was fired up treeing on back legs, cork screwing around, and everything in between. lotta scent in the air.
old mama dog on downwind side of tree next to creek.
poor trix is getting old and starting to grey! in dog years shes right between riverbottom ron and bill mack.... maybe older maybe younger. LOL.
