Don't exercise her if she has heart worms. My BIL walked his dog that he had bought with heart worms and she fell over dead. I watched it happen. The dog probably didn't go 400 yards and never ran.

Looks more like a running walker to me bc her legs look a lot longer then a treeing walker. Just my two cents

Ive read those Kong toys work well with hounds. I hope her heartworms heals up well. Maybe the vet will allow some short walks, due to some negative behavioral issues. Probably wouldn't hurt to ask?

I hope she works out for you. Ours are indoors and we use toys and games that make them use their brains and noses. They're smarter than you'd think and are very good at associating words with objects and scents. Try a few scent games. Get several toys you can keep separate and apply various scents to them and always call them by a specific name. They don't have to be raccoon scented but they should be interesting for the dog. Ours have "coon", "stinky kitty" and "squirrel" among others. Drag them to different hiding spots (under the sofa, up in a tree, in a shallow hole in the ground, etc.) and tell her to get a particular one. Her nose is something that will probably amaze you. I was able to adapt training to where a couple of our dogs would help look for things like car keys or specific people they were acquainted with.

Coloring and build no doubt a walker. Doesnt look crossed with anything to me. With how long her legs are and her wanting to run so much I bet running walker. Might make a good Fox coyote or hog dog.
