So we got some snow here in North Alabama - where I live, we only got 1" of snow, parts around me got up 6" of snow. That 1" of snow was enough to shut everything down.

School cancelled, work cancelled, and today is my wife's B-Day to boot.

Make a run down to the corner grocery store and it's open so buy up some meat. Go down the road to gas station and make a beer run.

Come back home and fire up the smoker grill. Cooked up a mess of chicken, different sausages, steaks, and then the ribs and a boston butt.

As luck would have it, had a game on today so got to sit back and watch my favorite team play, enjoy some cold ones, and good fresh off the grill eating.

Now there calling for 8" of snow here tomorrow - so you know what that means?

They have are announced closings for tomorrow so have meat on hand and beer on hand for another snow day cook out tomorrow.

I am enjoying these snow days.

Same here in Ga, I don't know why everybody scrambles to go get milk and bread. I want meat to throw on the grill, and beer to wash it down. They can have the milk sandwiches, if my power goes out, I'm throwing a steak on the grill.
