Man I wish I'd thought of that one of mine will be 3 Christmas Eve and he wants to go anytime he sees me out my boots on. Hopefully he can start going next yr if mama lets him. My other bit has some time (only 6 mths)

Downby07, what I did with my son and it sounds kinda corny but whenever he's watching a movie (mainly the Lion King) and someone/something dies I just tell him it's part of life and he's ok with it. I know he's a little young to understand but I was never sheltered from death, and I try not to with my kids, simply because it is part of life and it can't be avoided

my youngest boy is 23 but i remember takeing him when hes round 3 years old.i was liveing on the mountain then and it snowed all day so i took him on the side of the mountain cause it hadnt snowed there.it was cold as all get out so i wasnt going to hunt maybe a hour.i turned loose ole scrap and he went in younder bout 500 yards and set down and treed,i thought perfect.so i went to carry ike cause it was so rough and got to the tree and it was a den but in the very top there sat mr.coon.i asked ike you want me to know him out,he said yeal,so i knocked him out but didnt hit him right where i wanted to,the coon and scrap fought all over the side of the mountain, finally scrap was able to put him away i asked ike what ya think bout that boy and he looked at me with tears in his eyes and said daddy that toon was good.ike got over it though,it had the coon for supper.lol
