woods riders? lollll
Yep, long years after slavery , even up in the 1900s, they had 'woods riders ' in the piney woods of SC and GA, and Fla that rode marshtackey horses and they would ride the woods to all the catfaced trees in the turpentine and "Naval Stores" industry , mostly contracted by Northerners 'in the Know" ( Basically Loyalist, to the throne that retained close encounters with England ) and did their deeds by getting in bed with Southerners,(NOT ARISTCRATS ) BUT likely Carpetbaggers) and if one of the crew had missed collecting the pine sap the "woods rider " would send him back to collect it. "Juss a doin my jawb" they say . Lots of them became cops currently LOL. Heck, I ought to know , I came from a line of Irish HeadKnockers in Knew York City they say.
Called "chain of command" these days. Who you be ???
