My neighborhood store sells some mint chew. It's NOT TOBACCO. It comes in the little can just like tobacco, but it's just little pouches of mint. You don't even have to spit if you don't want, because the juice is just mint so you can swallow it. I don't chew, but it seemed like a good idea for someone trying to kick the habit, or even just cut down. That way you don't have to work on the addiction and the habit at the same time... you can work on one at a time.
Not trying to say anybody needs to quit... no skin off my nose if you want cancer in your gums. But a few of you kinda sounded like you wished you didn't have the habit.
Tried that mess and I puked. couple of years ago when i just started coonhuntin i was 15 one of mybuddies handed me a bag of taylors pride and told me to get me some long story short i have been chewin it ever since nothin like getin me a good chew and listen to the dogs run up a big ol coon

LOL, Buckshot!  Sorry it made ya hurl. Obviously someone out there likes it, or they wouldn't manufacture & sell it. Oh, well. It sure looked like a good idea!

a wise man told me(you have one life to live,so live it the way you want it) so Im going to dip or chew as long as I want.I like copenhagen or skoal. cuttem loose, put a dip in,wait for'um to tree.

i tried the fake stuff to quit too. It tastes bad and it floats everywhere. I tried the nic gum too. Now that stuff is hard on the guts. I dont know whats in it but i had stomach aches all the time

I dip either Copenhagen or Skoal, went from a can a day to a can every 3 or 4 days,but I keep a can of Grizzly in the truck for those"hey, let me get one from ya" huntin buddies.For anybody that wants to quit Copengagen, put a fat dip in and then sneeze- time you get THAT mess cleaned up, you won't want another dip for awhile.
