just a comment on the poll-
treeing walkers have a bad rep for being hot nosed dogs- walkers generally track faster than other breeds, so some people think that beacuse they track fast theyre on a hot track-which is not always the case. any hound of any breed could make a cold track seem like a hot track just because of how they act on the track, or any hound of any breed could make a hot track seem like a cold track. there are walkers that are hot nosed, seems like a few more than other breeds but dogs of any breed can be hotnosed-its not just walkers.
my walker acts like every track hes on is a hot track, yet my bluetick takes it a little slower and sometimes needs to just run and catch up...

I've hunted with more English dogs with hot nose's. However, I usally get 1st strike against any hound with my black dogs. But they run a cold track as well as a hot track.
I hunt females together all the time and never have a problem. I hunt male and female together and don't have any trouble. Male and Male is usally the only time I have problems.
