One Zan Parr Bar-Two Eyed Jack- Jackie Bee palomino stud and 12 mares with a variety of breeding, plus the kids' horses that they show and Jr. rodeo with. Horse prices are dirt cheap around here too. Production sales are getting anywhere from $125-$600 for some outstanding bred colts with lots of color. There is a horse sale within 10 miles of my house every other Saturday and I have seen some colts bring as low as $35, and there wasn't anything wrong with them. I am considering breeding some of my mares to a jack and raise mules as well. They are bringing more right off of the mare than a good Quarter Horse colt will bring.

I trail ride as much as I can. We raise Tennessee Walking Horses. Have about 17 right now. This is a few of us at Mt Rogers, the highest point in VA.

Thanks! That's me on the far left on a mare that I raised. I sold her last year to make room for some youngsters. I don't always miss them when they're sold, but I do miss her!

Thanks for the compliment! Yes, was a show horse. He has a show record a mile long. He is a "home bred" as I raised him, and his mother, and his grandmother is buried here on our farm. His offspring are really doing well in the show pen now. He sired a Reserve World Champion (another home bred) this past year as well as a national Honor Roll and several top five. I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of his foals.

Susie,
The cream colored foal grew up to be a buttermilk buckskin. That is one of my favorite pictures. Thanks so much for the compliments.

Nice looking horses you folks got there. :)
You don't know how lucky you are. I love horses. I have room to keep a horse. But horses make me break out in hives. I can't touch them. :(
:( :( :(

this is my rope horse (in my sig). He's getting some age on him so he's going to get replaced and retired here soon. But I don't see him going anywhere. He'll turn into a pasture ornament for an occasional trail ride.
