Here in Utah, the second most arid state in the union if you don't have water you don't have coon. I had to vote water. I would love to hunt in another state where coon are found in the timber etc.
i chose the big timber b/c thats mostly what i hunt and hills and sometimes on the creek at the base of the mountains and i hunt some flooded timber somtimes

corn field. we had one race this year in a pie shaped 30 acre field. woods on two sides, creek on the third. that coon made two rounds before he treed. it's a great race.
